#647 – Whiff

My wife used to get scented candles for our house. Then one year my body chemistry changed or the way they make those candles changed. It started to burn my eyes and swell up my throat. “This smells like I’m dying!”

Also, I’m having a moving sale! Use the code MOVING at checkout to get 25% off your total order. Make my life easier by having less stuff to haul away in a truck! Go to the store here!

I haven’t had any bad experiences with scented candles, but a freind brought some amaretto-flavoured coffee grounds to the house I was staying in, and I had to vacate until the foul stench had dissipated.

I rarely use cologne, or body spray directly on my person, due to having bad reactions to the volatile carriers. Stuff makes me nauseaous, or gives me headaches. I usually spray my shirts lightly and leave them in another room until the stuff evaporates, leaving only the intended fragrance, to be activated from body heat.

Our local mall has installed a special fan in the Yankee Candle Company store to suck out the stench. Thank goodness.
