#73 – Velocity

We had a couple car travelling bingo games bouncing around the back seat when I was a kid. One had different types of vehicles: police car, pickup truck, station wagon. The other was state license plates. The vehicle type one could be over in just a few minutes in heavy traffic. The license plate game usually lasted the whole trip with nobody winning.

Today’s Biff has a standing reservation.

Some of the local 76 fuel stations have these signs by the pumps showing you how to identify different insects based on their post-impact impressions (i.e. splat-marks). This comic totally reminded me of those.

Please post a link to a picture of those… I would love to see that!

  2. I got one of those packs of car travel bingo cards as a kid and they were one of the most guffawingly hilarious things I had ever seen. Whoever decided to include the “license plates of many states” cards had evidently never thought about the comedy value of including them in packs sent to central Texas. I don’t think I saw a plate from some other state until I was in junior high.

one of mine was the alphabet, whatever sign or licence plate counted just who ever spotted it first. All you had to do was spot the letter and remember what letter you were on. Qs and Zs is where it got intense. First to Z won.

Huh, I hate bees, so I enjoy this strip xD
And why is there no actual bingo on the card?

It’s diagonal. Upper right to bottom left. Including the free space.

Dude did you just repeat the same comic or did I miss some subtle joke? I may just be stupid but I wonder.

The Previous comic is the wrong one if you read the blog under it. Today’s comic posted early and twice. Hopefully we will get to see the missing one in the future. Cross your fingers and hope it hasn’t gotten lost in the Comic Bermuda Shorts Quadrangle.

Weird! It should be all fixed now!

    That is one happy car.

Ah, roadkill bingo! I grew up in central Wyoming. Driving from Casper to Laramie via Medicine Bow, it wasn’t unusual to see ten or more species of critters that had been hit by cars. We always played first person to five different species wins.

Seems like the bee should have a number on his side. Then it could be Bee [# from B row 5]. It would be more cruel, but this comic hardly shies from cruelty.

  10. GeneralDibs says:

It would be fun to print up some clear bingo window clings and just adhere them to the inside of your windsheild.

once a few friends and i celebrating my 16th birthday and decided we needed lots of sugar. we were driving to a local gas station when i rolled down my window and a bee got sucked in and hit me in the head. it felt like someone had thrown a rock at me. but now we all realized there was a huge bee in the car and it resulting in 5 teenage girls screaming and swerving all over the road before it calmly flew back out the window…
