Chapter: Comic
I sometimes wonder if delivery drivers wonder what is in the boxes they carry around each day. I guess it’s like most jobs and those sorts of questions get worn out after a few months. It would take something out of the ordinary to attract attention. Like a box that moved or one that was screaming.

I used to work at the uspo and I can tell many stories. I’ll just tell one.. A co worker dropped a parcel and it said “ouch” so he picked it up again and well dropped it (not far mind you) this time from the parcel was “Ohh I like that.” we died laughing. It really made our day. And no we did not drop it again.
(We figured that it was a talking teddy bear or doll.)
Meh, I think he’s acting a little wooden…
🙂
The drivers in my area don’t even notice the ones that are screaming.
I may have said too much.
A great example of How Not To Be Seen.
I do a lot of my shopping online, so the FedEx and UPS drivers are used to delivering all sorts of things to my place. The bicycle frame did make one of them a little curious, though; I don’t think he’d ever delivered a package that big that weighed so little.
Maybe he has delivered a package that contained a bunch of blown up balloons before.
Something tells me he feels a little boxed in with this new relationship.
My brother who worked for UPS told me this tale. It may just be legend or it may have some basis in fact. I cannot say. Remember this was back before they had GPS on the vehicles and electronic tracking on every package. Driver had to swerve due to traffic and a couple of the packages fell from top of the stacks. At the next stop as he was rearranging thing, he noticed one of the packages had split, and he could clearly see that it contained money. He skipped that delivery and later that day when near his house he stopped to leave the little windfall there. He had hardly gotten the door open when the phone rang. The voice on the other end recommended that for his own health, he might just want to deliver that package. On the way to deliver he realized that he had been followed for most of the route as he recognized the car behind him from seeing it several times earlier that day. He quit that night after making the rest of his deliveries. And when asked why, he told them why. If not true, it’s at least an interesting story.
New meaning to “slipping the wood”.
I order way too much from Amazon. The other day the UPS guy said hello to me by name; and I wasn’t at my home.
at least in maybe 30-40 years, you won’t have to pay for another coffin
Wait are you supposed to open the box or not
