Our dog generally only barks when someone is walking their dog through our front yard. Despite her general silence she communicates very effectively through facial expressions, body language and dancing. My favorite is when she wants something and I pretend I have no idea what it could be so I make a bunch of guesses. When I get to the correct one, “Outside?” she runs up and punches my in the leg with her two front paws.

There was a PBS special on dogs. It showed that dogs are adapted to read one’s facial expressions. They also said or implied that dogs are getting/ being breed smarter.
Timmy was always such a little bitch anyway. Good riddance to that kid.
LASŠSSIE!!
My sister’s terrier was smart. He liked to hide when someone he didn’t know would walk by the yard, and bark like a dog at least twice his size. He could pull it off, too. Nobody he scared would believe there was only the wirehair running around there. I’m pretty sure he thought it was funny.
My grandfather got a golden retreiver and tried to train it to go hunting with him. He was really disappointed when Charlie decided Deer were terrifying monsters and birds were his best friends. except peacocks. he never ever liked peacocks. He trys to make friends with the Emu, but the Emu hates anything with more legs than her and chases him away. He’s…not a brave dog.
