#231 – Thirsty

Chapter: Comic
We had a little paper Dixe cup dispenser in my bathroom when I was growing up. I would frequently get “suddenly thirsty” and go in there for a shot of water. It somehow seemed more delicious out of a paper cup with Snoopy printed on it. The best part was I could then crush the cup in my tiny little hand like a cool guy in the movies that just finished a can of beer.
Today’s Biff is movin’ on up.

… water *does* taste better from a paper cup. 🙁
Or maybe it’s that it’s usually from one of the decent water dispensers rather than a terrible tap or fountain…
In the bathroom? You know that water’s not hygienic right?
Epic comic though.
I really hated “that tone of voice”, when I was a kid, especially when she screamed too. And once I yelled back, “Stop screaming at me!” She was so surprised she stopped and walked away. I was surprised too. And smart enough NEVER to try that again.
If ever tried anything like this my parents would KILL me! Of course I’m 16…Ok, they’d probably kill my 7-year-old sister too. But in this comic, that dad got what he had coming to him. What sass!
I never had much in the way of disposable cups available to me – I liked my water in big huge cups that didn’t require me to make multiple trips.
IRT the comic: I escalate; I can lift a larger bucket of water than my kids can… and they *know* I’d do it.
Hence, I live a life free of water being dashed in my face. 😛
I had that growing up too. it helped we had good tasting well water as opposed to hard over chlorinated water we have here in arizona.Id never drink from the faucet now.
@Rick2tails – you prefer the taste of water, or to not get cholera?
Both, if possible.
What I like most is that she thanks him THEN throws it in his face.
If I was that kid’s parent, I would wordlessly fetch another cup of water, hold the pose for a moment or two, return fire, then leave!
Wait ’til the kid’s asleep, then a cupful of warm water in the bed. Then scream “What did you do?!”, and walk out the door.
