The shopping malls I went to as a kid were laid out like a big plus sign or a wagon wheel. It was pretty easy to navigate and find a place you wanted to go on the map. There was one though that defied all logic. Zigzags and half levels made it frustrating to make your way to specific stores. Even looking at a map was rarely a help unless you were almost to your destination already.
When I was a kid I liked to imagine what it would be like if there was a separate race of humans that were only 3 inches tall. A whole town could fit in my backyard. A single piece of my Halloween candy would be mind blowing to them.
Death is going to be really frustrated when we are able to “upload” our brains into a robot body. I guess death will have to get a new hobby. Solitaire or knitting perhaps.
One of my favorite stuffed animals as a kid was a Winnie the Pooh bear that had a wind up music box inside. It played the “Winnie the Pooh” song which I would sing along with in my head…
“Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh, la la la la la la la la.”
I actually have no idea if the rest of the song has lyrics. I would wind it up as tight as I could and then place my head on his belly as the song played over and over. My favorite part was the sound of the whirring parts inside during the pause that happened before the song started over again.
Today’s Biff is up there.
I think anytime a movie or TV show shows an adult taking a teddy bear onto an airplane they are either smuggling drugs or a bomb. I wonder if that checks out in real life and security is trained to think of teddy bears as suspicious. Must be rough on kids that have to give up their security object so ic can be eaten by that big x-ray machine.
