Finally, he has enough skulls to star in his own rendition of Reverse Hamlet, where all the characters are skulls except Yorick, who is grateful for being exhumed but quite put off at having been buried in the first place.

So, is this tree anyway related to the Kite-eating tree from Charlie Brown?
My guess is that after the comic ended it wasn’t getting fed anymore and had to find an alternate source of sustenance.
They were the first kids to have actual flesh to climb the tree. The children from Skeleton Village didn’t have the muscles to get up that far.
