#49 – Chewy

Some workplaces develop a weird junk food peer pressure. “I brought cake. Did you see I brought cake? What did you think of the cake? Lets go look at the cake. I want to watch you eat the cake. I know it’s 7:30 in the morning but you should be eating cake instead of looking at the clocks all the time. Take another slice with you incase you get hungry before lunch time. Caaaaaaaaaaaake.” It’s even worse when there is some sort of holiday to hang an excuse for bringing piles of food to work. St Patrick’s Day? Green cake!

Today’s Biff will skip breakfast tomorrow.

I am immune to dessert pressure at work. I usually compliment my coworker on a delicious looking delicacy, but feign a digestive problem as an excuse to forgo a sample.

Man, I’m really liking this webcomic more and more, I like the style of joke, and it feels a bit more devious and immature (in the fun way) than The Book of Biff.

I definitly know about the “Dessert Pressure” at my job… Because our weekend staff are all just part-timers friday morning the manager will bring in something she baked (Cookies, a Cake, etc) and if it’s not all gone by the time she comes in on Monday all we’ll hear all week is questions about why you don’t like her cooking… weather you had some or not.
