#476 – Loaf

It’s weird how crazy ducks go for bread. Clearly it’s not a natural food source for them. I imagine a similar situation with aliens tossing out Snickers bars to ancient humans. “Look! They’re fighting each other for them! They love it!”

  1. I was feeding chips to the ducks at Disnyeland once. The adults were going crazy for them, and so were the teenagers (kind of biggish but still with fluffy baby feathers). The newborn baby ducks, though? Wouldn’t go near the stuff.

just wondering: if you compressed an entire loaf of bread how small could it get? small enough for a duck’s beak? (boom…) don’t worry, i’m not going to try it.

If you take a slice of something like ‘Wonder Bread’ (I’ve always ‘wondered’ what it really is), cut the crusts off, and roll it up, you can make a fat pill of white goo. Nothing like bread at all! That’s why I eat whole wheat, rye, or sourdough…

I wonder what the little red hen thinks of this…

I’m guessing that she’s relieved that she doesn’t have to listen to those damned lazy ducks asking if they can have some of her bread.
