#435 – Rock

I have low expectations for opening bands. That usually gives them the opportunity to really surprise me. Many of them I’ve never seen or heard from again but a few became favorites that I would then see as a headliner a year or two later.

    I’m sorry to say I don’t get this one. %D;

      Neither do I… unless it literally ‘blew their minds’ onto the people behind them?

        Ding ding ding!

        (Look at the positions of the three in the last panel, then look at the three corresponding circles behind the two in the first two panels.)

          I think I need to tweak panel two to show them walking away.

            probably, but this way it’s a mystery where you have to analyze each frame to figure it and once you do you’re all like “eeeew” haha

    Tenacious D reference?

    I don’t understand this one either…
    @Lisa. I think that’s the only way this would make sense. Also, the tags for the cartoon are band, brains, concert.

  4. Yeah, they literally blew their minds – out of the back of their heads – and then left to use the restroom. The people behind them were saddened by this turn of events.

    I make it a personal rule to always see opening bands, if I’ve paid 15 to 50 quid to see a show, I may as well squeeze the most out of it, and get the chance for discovering a great new artist.

    Plus, you get really near the front at standing concerts.

    Either lost brains, or the worst lace collar ever.
