Chapter: Comic
I don’t think I’ve ever worn out an umbrella. I will eventually leave it somewhere or loan it to someone that never returns it. On the other hand I have plenty of umbrellas here and I don’t recall ever purchasing any of them.

I wore out one, a piece of metal in the shaft broke off, turns out it was rather critical. Now when I open the umbrella, the umbrella part shoots 8 feet up in the air, opens, and floats gently back down, while I’m left, looking rather foolish, holding a handle.
Oh gods I must see this, it sounds hilarious x3
Post a video to youtube, I am begging you xD
I’m not sure where umbrellas come from; they just seem to spontaneously appear on a long enough timeline until there are more of them by the door than you need.
Then you give some away, and the process starts again.
A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, an old man breaks out into a Fred Astaire dance number.
Sorry, Fred Astaire never danced with an umbrella. He danced with a hat rack and, posthumously, a vacuum cleaner. It was Gene Kelly who danced with an umbrella in “Singin’ in the Rain”.
There was a time when I collected umbrellas like most women collect shoes and purses. It was fun to have the perfect umbrella to go with the right coat, shoes and bag. It didn’t rain a lot in southern California so this wasn’t totally outlandish.
Then I moved to the South where it does rain more often and reality hit. And the cost of everything, including good umbrellas, skyrocketted and now I’ve settled for 1 of every size I might need from golf umbrella to mini tote. The total is 5. I miss my collection.
“Obi Wan’s failure is complete!”
