I’ve never been up in a hot air balloon. It’s something I wanted to do when I was younger but the desire has faded away as I’ve gotten older. I’m not sure exactly why though. I’ve learned to be more afraid of things?
Today’s Biff makes his move.

You should try the balloon ride. It is an amazing experience. The pilot we had was a big showoff about the control he had over the balloon’s height and he went from brushing treetops to skimming the tassles of the corn and then up, up and away!
I think I feel a little sorry for the kid who was crushed and mutilated under the falling equipment.
But only a little.
this almost a good enough replacement of 2Pstart to regularly comment. and BTW, NCD.
I had a chance to ride in one on a trip in 1999 and backed out. Those that went told me there was trouble at the end and basket fell over on landing and the people fell out. No one was hurt but I felt vindicated. The balloons are pretty to look at, others can ride them, not me.

I’ll never go in a hot air balloon. They are dangerous even in their concept. A wicker basket propelled miles high into the air by fire.
Oh I get it. For a while there I was trying to figure out why they had playground equipment in a hot air balloon. And that kid on the basket in the last panel, he just didn’t make sense at all.
