I love these “weird” tags like this one with “or maybe where you live it’s a mobile phone”!
…But where I live (in Sweden) we call it mobiltelefon, or simply mobil, like most people usually say. But I guess there would be way too many tags if different languages were also included…
“Because THIS phone reads minds, and knows which icon you meant to push. Which is kind of scary, if you think about it – ESPECIALLY if you think about it…”

I German it’s called a “handy”.
“Stupid phone.”
“You should get THIS phone instead!”
“… How is that phone going to keep from thinking that my fat fingers pushed the icon next to the icon I was trying to push?”
“Because THIS phone reads minds, and knows which icon you meant to push. Which is kind of scary, if you think about it – ESPECIALLY if you think about it…”
That’s the future of Android – a good data mining tool can know you better than you do yourself.
(I’ve programmed a simple proof of concept demo of this in the 1990s – it is really scary.)
Scary? Or annoying?
Honestly I’m not looking forward to a future where none of my browser-adjacent icons work anymore.
The kid puking off to the side just makes it that much funnier for me. Great comic as always Chris.
Even when you wall everyone into the same setup, mention a (known) issue you’re having and you get a bunch of helpful “Works fine on my [model]”s.
