Sometimes I think my brain is overwhelmed by all the trivial things I hold in my head. Most of the useful stuff has leaked out. I used to be an expert in a few things but I don’t remember what they were.

“I suspected this was the problem.”
“Of course you would say that.”
I really have no idea what I know, until someone asks me, I answer, then wonder the rest of the day how I knew that.

I have a similar issue, but I found out why when the big craze for finding your IQ went by a few years ago.
Lets just say I’m well above average.
It explains why my Parents-in-Law keep buying me those Shirts with interesting and or sarcastic sayings on them.
But I bought the one that says” As a matter of fact, I AM a Rocket Scientist”. Since I design and Fly Hi Power Amateur Rockets it’s true.
