#314 – Stringy

An early memory from childhood. I’m running back and forth through the house like a maniac. My mom is telling me this isn’t a good idea. I run into the kitchen and slide across the floor on my knees. My stomach feels weird and I look down in front of me and say “Hey, spaghetti!”

I have a memory similar to this. I told my step dad i was really hungry, so he made me two cans of spagettio’s. I ate most of them. later, mom, stepdad and I were watching tv. i got up and said “My stomach feels weird.” then there is about two cans of spagettios on the hardwood floor. it ruined them for me. i can’t even stand the smell of them before my stomach does weird things again. I have a friend who would open a can and start eating it cold. the first time he did this, we were in the middle of a conversation, having just met recently. as soon as i realized what he had just opened (He had torn the label off) I turned on my heel and walked off. He got upset and asked if it was “Something he said”. i said I wouldn’t be in the same room with him again until he got that smell to go away….

A few years ago, I went to the State Fair with my Mom, Aunt, and Cousin, and we had a great time, mostly. Seems I ate something there I should have, and got progressively worse as the day went on. I had bought a bag of chocalate-covered coffee beans, and although they weren’t the things that made me ill, I wasn’t able to even smell them out of undeserved association for a few weeks. I stashed them in the freezer until I got past it.

    Another reason to hate rollercoasters.

Man, bad things always seem to happen to people who have spaghetti in their pockets.

      It wasn’t in his pockets.

Maybe they’ll rename the coaster to “Vomit Comet”?

I can only think: I would SO ride a coaster called the Dragon Demon
