As the spider could have easily designed some rain-resistant transportation method to crawl up the water spout without being washed out – and didn’t – it’s clear to me now that the spider’s only real motive for earning an engineering degree was REVENGE.
The itsy-bitsy spider, flushed down the water spout,
Swore in the name of God he’d flood the world with drought
The spider went to school and became an engineer
And the resulting drought lasted for a dozen years

Swore in the name of God he’d flood the world with drought
The spider went to school and became an engineer
