#200 – Mirror

I don’t really find the whole Apple VS Microsoft fight very interesting. Maybe nowadays the debate is more Apple VS Android. I used to be the person in my group that was the most knowledgeable about computers so I was everyone’s default tech support. I’ve been using only Macs since 2005 and so my Microsoft expertise ended at Windows XP. So I now have the luxury of answering 95% of my tech support calls with “I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Good luck!”

Today’s Biff is confident.

I quit using Windows in 2004 or 2005 myself. I use Aptosid Linux. And yes, being able to say, “I have no experience with Windows 7, sorry,” and not having to answer the question… I concur, it’s an amazing feeling.

The truth is, even if you’re still Windows user, the odds are that you still know more about Windows XP than anything since then.

Sure but people don’t call me with Windows XP questions anymore. Even if they did it’s been long enough that I don’t remember a lot of it.

I’ve been using Mac for as long as i can remember, but I did really like Windows XP because it could play lots of computer games that I couldn’t get on my Mac. I would go over to a friends house and play lots of games. It was awesome.

I am diehard Mac. But all my relatives own PCs and call me to ask how to fix things. With XP I was able to guess my way around things based on the computers at work. Windows 7 will mean a call to tech support not me – YAY!

I’m sitting at my Windows XP computer wondering how you people can understand Apples…

Computers? I’m still using two soup cans with string connecting them! I’m thinking of switching to broadband soup cans, though: yarn is on sale this week.

Soup cans? I’ve only got signal fires. Might think about dropping my wallet for an hickory log. I hear they burn smokier.

ha, just found you on ink. This is pretty much my new favorite comic, great work.

Yeah I know i’m a bit late to the party on this debate still might as well give my answer. I only use Windows as I only use my home computer for gaming really. If I have to pay a bill I do it in person.
