Chapter: Comic
Back when I lived in various apartments, I liked to draw on the bathroom mirror with a Sharpie. It was a nice semi-permanent graffiti that was easily removed when I moved out. I always imagined that when I had my own house I would have a wall set up for when my artist friends came over we could all doodle and draw on it. It turns out that when you finish art school and move out to the suburbs there is a sudden lack of artist friends to come over to your house.

Aaaaaaand the relationship went downhill from there …
I had some friends living in a rental house that was going to be demolished. They threw a moving out party where we painted on every available surface.
In my last LA apartment I wrote on very wall as I was moving out. Management would never fix anything and it needed painting and lots of TLC. So I wrote a note in BIG BLACK LETTERS on 1 wall in every room detailing what was wrong. and how much I had enjoyed the apartment but hated the management.
I left the apartment clean, empty and spotless except for the walls and one overstuffed pillow that I cut open and left upside down so it would spill out when picked up. It was childish, but since I wasn’t getting my deposit back I felt it an okay way to get my point across.
I have a friend that makes everyone who comes to her house draw on a specific wall. She has two very different circles of friends, one of which contains an astounding number of art students. It’s interesting to see signed Sharpie impressionist Mona Lisa’s next to what looks like a kindergartner’s drawing of “Mom.”
You KNOW that when you clean the sharpie off a mirror it leaves a perfectly visible trace, right? The next time someone takes a bath, he’ll see your doodles. It’s particularly awkward after a change of girlfriend .-D
Back when a part of my old high school was going to be demolished, my friends and I took the opportunity to shake off our good kid-behaviour and filled all the walls with dirty words and drawings. We felt so bad-ass until the rest of the school joined in.
I’m picturing your ‘dirty words’ were things like “Boobies” and naughty pictures of stick people with circles near their armpits. 😀
See! I’ll bet the panties are between the mattress & box or stuffed in the toe of his shoe!
Gonna try that. NOT!
