Whenever I would go to a new gym I would try and make my first few visits during a really slow time of the day. I don’t know where anything is or how any of the machines work yet and I like to take my time figuring them out. It’s too much pressure to sit down at a machine for the first time and suddenly have a wild-eyed sweaty person pacing back and forth in front of you waiting for their turn.

I lol’d. It’s a very light hearted joke for this page, but very good. love the expression in the last panel.
Those impatient die-hards would make me too nervous to do anything right, then get huffy and want to correct me. If they would just go away I could get it done right and move on. Now I workout at home with my TV and DVD player – much easier.
There are probably worse places to have Wild-Eyed Sweaty Pacing People watching you. Like before a colonoscopy. Or at a salad bar.
