Chapter: Comic
Sodium was the first “bad” food thing I was aware of. I guess when I was a kid “low sodium” was the health food fad at the time. There were lots and lots of commercials for low sodium foods… well lower than the original versions at least. When I asked my mom what they were talking about she said “salt.” So then I would chastise my dad whenever I saw him putting salt on food at the dinner table.

CANNIBALISM!
That depends on the brand.
well, I know that if you don’t eat enough salt, your brain functions would shut down.
Too much salt promotes hypertension. It also tends to indicate that you’re eating crappy food.
Some of us are sensitive to salt (it can affect hypertension, high blood pressure) and some aren’t.
We have almost precisely the salinity of sea water, which is convenient.
Indeed: If you ever run out of isotonic solution for the intravenous drip, just use sea water.
(Dear children. Don’t try this at home.)
I guess I’m one of the lucky ones who is completely unaffected by salt.
Low-salt, low fat, low-carb. I get to eat ice cubes. I’ve gained 20 pounds.
It’s all water weight.
Not sure if serious, but… I used to chew ice cubes to stave off hunger, but my dentist said it was destroying my teeth.
Don’t you think maximumble deserves a favicon by now? 😀
I think we have a conflict or at least differing definition of rescuing here when it comes to wieners.
