#111 – Stereo

I’m still waiting for the 3D displays that look like holograms instead of fancy pop up books. I want to actually be surrounded by a new world and not just have it pop out at me. Although I guess it would be cool to see a 3D documentary about pop-up books

Today’s Biff has been cut.

Aww. I feel for Cyclops. Stupid 3D movies, go around requiring two eyes…

  2. Cyndaquazy says:

    Aw… poor cyclops… 🙁

  3. Penthoplayer says:

Spy Kids did the hologram thing pretty well.

  4. Chris says:

THIS IS ME ON THE RIGHT.

I have two functioning eyes, but they don’t work at the same time, so I am effectively monoptic.

Note: We cyclopses still have to wear the glasses because the movie is blurry if you don’t. Just FYI.

This reminds me of a ThinkGeek April fools joke that I think would make a good actual product:

    Myself, I haven’t seen a 3d setup where I don’t notice a headache-inducing flickering. Until they perfect it, I’ll take good old 2d.

  6. Rick2Tails says:

hey cyclops . think of it this way. you can save money by going to the 2d movies and not miss anything

  7. biggo says:

Not to mention, we monocles usually enjoy a perfectly good 2D reality .-)

  8. Shadowlord9k says:

I have to wear prescription glasses so I can’t even see the 3D, I hope this does not become a continuing thing for movies to do.

me too, and it sux. sometimes the local theater will only show the 3d version of some movies and it’s almost always the one i wanted to see

  9. Chris says:

The think geek page was an April Fools joke, but the glasses are real, and fairly cheap: http://www.2d-glasses.com/

  10. Radical Edward says:

Shadowlord9k, I’m also a prescription glasses wearer. I’m sick of 3D because it has to be everywhere. I liked it when CGI movies were just released, WITHOUT the 3D!

  11. Jackson says:

I am ashamed to admit that I only just got it right now.
