My 5-year-old son is just now eating meat for the first time. He doesn’t know what meat is yet. To him they are just “nuggets”. He likes “Mickey nuggets” “Dinosaur nuggets” and “Round nuggets”. Most people refer to that last one as “Chicken McNuggets”.
its allways astounding to see kids question the origin of meat, but like to eat stuff like “pikachu schnitzel” or other things formed like their favorite cartoon character.
Fun Fact: Guinea pigs are still cultivated for food in Peru, Bolivia, and some parts of Colombia and Ecuador. They are also, according to my own hands-on tests, incredibly delicious.
So they’re from Peru? Guinea pigs are a delicacy there.

My daughter (3) will join with us in making whatever sound the animal that we’re having for dinner makes. She finds it entertaining, but has obviously not made the connection with the fact that some animal died for her to eat it…
My 4 year old son has trouble believing me when I tell him that chicken meat he’s eating is muscles, exactly like the ones in his arms.
i love these comics; they give me great insight on seeing things in a different perspective. some of these ideas i’ve touched on in my own thoughts briefly, but all the others…truly fascinating.
