There were some people that I was popular with in college because I had a car. We would hang out and have a good time but it frequently involved going to the far away grocery store. They had an intimate relationship with my trunk space.

I had to transfer colleges because I was so lonely and depressed. I would go to people’s rooms and ask them if they wanted to go to the dining hall for dinner. They would tell me they already ate, which is all well and good because they can eat early if they want to, but they didn’t invite me. They didn’t invite me anywhere. But if I ordered a pizza? Suddenly everyone wanted to be my friend.
