Chapter: Comic
Do they have automatic tinting contact lenses yet? That might get me to ditch my glasses and try contacts again. I imagine it would be the kind of thing that would freak other people out but they wouldn’t be quite sure why.

So he can? So he can what? Crash his car? Maybe he was thinking “Because I can”….XD
Actually he’s singing a song by Corey Heart called Sunglasses at Night. That’s how the lyrics go:
I wear my sunglasses at night
so I can
so I can
Watch you weave then breath your story lines.
And I wear my sunglasses at night
so I can
so I can
Keep track of the visions in my eyes.
And so on.
Thus the title of today’s comic: Corey.
Okay, I get it now. Never heard of the song though.
Is it weird that I’d never heard of the song until Real Life Comics mentioned it, but then totally got the reference in this comic, despite never knowing the lyrics before you mentioned them?
wrap his car around a tree ? *sings* “Homer… homer Simspson. Hes the greatest guy in history! From the town of Springfield . He`s about to hit a chestnut tree..”
I was actually thinking this when I first read this comic before I got clued into the real meaning. Either way it’s funny.

I really can’t see well enough to drive without my glasses and always wonder what I’d do if I lost/forgot them and sunglasses were all I had with me. Calling a cab or friend makes sense, but so would “trying” because it’s not “too far” and if I drive real slow it will be okay, at the time. Unrational rationalizations come in handy when you really don’t want to admit defeat/stupidity.
I was talking to my boyfriend about the future and got all emotional so I took off my glasses to cry. Then I forgot to put them back on. Then he left me at my car. And left with my glasses. I had to call my parents to come get me.
I’d love a pair of auto-tinting contacts that tint in bright light.
I live in a big enough city that it’s brightly lit at all times, making driving with sunglasses on at night not such a risky proposition.
Here’s the correct (I think) video reference for this strip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fw6k0kMVcCI&feature=youtube_gdata_player
What about a auto-tinting windshield?
Here’s the *real* 80s video for this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2LTL8KgKv8
I’ve worn photo-gray glasses for 35 years (urgh…) and can’t imagine having to keep track of sunglasses.
My first job out of the service in the glare of a Class 10,000 clean room (balancing Sidewinder seekers) convinced me to get photogray glasses (that, and having insurance!) They’re even better now, and I’ve never regretted that choice. Keep the old ones in a case in my bag, pack, or carry-on for backup. Sorry ’bout the Sidewinders; more recently, was testing Mars rovers – much better livelihood!
Another happy Photo-Gray customer here. Although, in the Winter, when I go inside, sometimes I have to run hot water over the lenses to change them back to clear faster. I remembered when I was a kid with my first pair of P-Gs, the doc told me to put them in the freezer overnight to help them get really dark the first full day.
