#241 – Soaking

Does anything really happen if you try and absorb caffeine through your skin? I know I’ve seen plenty of caffeinated novelty products like soap but I’ve never tried them. Maybe I’ll get some caffeinated contact lenses that will allow me to see in the dark.

Perhaps one day “coffee roast” will sit by “apple cinnamon”, or maybe it already does some places.

To me, caffeine should only be ingested via mouth. If it’s not coffee, then it should not have caffeine.

Chocolate and colas also contain caffeine. Coffee is not the only edible source.

Coffee soap isn’t about absorbing caffeine into your skin: it’s used by cooks to get rid of the odour of garlic and onions on their hands. Coffee’s really good at negating those smells.

This comic becomes several more levels of interesting when you recall the several news stories of people getting really dangerously insane highs on bath salts lately.

I’d never use coffee soap. I don’t want my skin to be up all night.
