#177 – Thirst

It’s weird now thinking back on my childhood and how much Kool-Aid and root beer I drank. I drink it so rarely now that it’s almost like a dessert. I sometimes even have to go brush my teeth right afterwards.

Today’s Biff is over it.

Should probably be noted that brushing your teeth immediately after drinking that stuff is probably not all that healthy; but can’t remember if that’s myth of fact.

Ha! I’ve never even heard that one! Is there supposed to be some sort of chemical reaction between sugar and toothpaste?

I know OJ and toothpaste tastes nasty in your mouth .But I doubt there is any reaction. If anything the sooner you clean your teeth the sooner they will stop having bacteria on them damaging them

I seem to remember that drink with high sugar content soften the protective layer on your teeth, therefor brushing your teeth right after wears your teeth out faster. Not sure if it’s true or not, but my mother always told me not to drink cola right before going to bed.

Or we could follow the logical chocie and just not use toothpaste.

            CTRL+F for “Tooth Brushing.”

Also, soda before bed is a bad idea already just from the sugar and caffeine keeping you awake. If you DID fall asleep, your mouth would not be able to neutralize the acidic conditions that arise when bacteria comes in contact with sugar, as it produces less saliva while you are asleep (and saliva is slightly alkaline.)

That might be a good one for Snopes
