#96 – Cumulus

When I was a kid I wondered what it was like to touch a cloud. I figured they were roughly somewhere between the size of a car and a house. I thought they would feel soft like bubbles and be slightly cooler than the air around them. It was a really big letdown the first time I flew through a cloud in an airplane. “This is the inside of a cloud? I can’t see anything!”

Today’s Biff paddles gently down the stream.

I always thought clouds were like cotton candy.
Now that I think of it, if they were that would not be a good thing for planes.
    Another childhood fantasy destroyed.

What’s that cloud made of, DMND?

This comic makes me think of Minecraft, where if you build a structure high enough, it will reach to the clouds, which pass through it.

The clouds restrict visibility when you are in them, which is so annoying that you almost wish they would behave as in this comic instead.

Obviously the cloud was stuffed with rocks.

      Yes.

well if youve ever walked through heavy fog, then youve walked through a cloud.

agreed. I was in a way excited (at the prospect that technically I have walked in a lot of clouds then) and disappointed at the same time. I first found out the connection on a family trip to Banff in Canada. We were going up a mountain and approaching a cloud. From afar it was obvious it was a cloud and I was so excited. And then it just seemed like it was getting foggier and I didn’t even notice we’ve entered the cloud. Then it struck me that the fog IS the cloud. Disappointing.

    Assasin cloud.

    1. SurveySays says:

Assasin cloud is also that one cloud that hovers over your picnic and that single dark rainy cloud that gets the cartoon characters. And that one drifting cloud that keeps you from getting a tan or makes the beach water suddenly too cold to swim in by covering the sun for fifteen minutes.

this started out as a joke but now im starting to belive my self… clouds are evil, man!
