Chapter: Comic
This isn’t as much of a problem if you just buy one kind of sock. But you would still have to toss all the old ones when you buy a new batch or you would wind up having to match up the socks of similar vintage. There’s no point in having matching socks if the one on the left is going to be thinner than the one on the right because it is 3 months older. People would be walking around in circles all day.

Glad to know im not the only one that thinks fabric softener smells delicious
I’d try fabric softener, but the “Call Poison Control if someone consumes this product” warnings are very effective…
I sometimes find myself trying to find the “mate” to the missing sock. I find it maddening that I lost a sock in the wash.
Just this morning, I happened to notice that my fabric softener sheets had an ingredient list on the side…
The english version was somewhat humorous in its vagueness:
“INGREDIENTS: {Brand Name} Dryer Sheets contain fabric softeners and perfume.”
The Spanish translation had me rolling:
“INGREDIENTES: Las Toallas para Secadora {Marca}”
or for those who don’t know Spanish:
“INGREDIENTS: {Brand Name} Dryer Sheets”
Oh sure; blame the poor dryer…
I’ve gathered a ton of random socks from all around the house. Tossed them all in the wash. Tons of different sock sets, and come out with nothing but matched pairs. Must be a unique washing machine.
Maybe this started the tide pod challenge
